What can i put in my skip?

How full can i load my skip?
You are not allowed to overfill your skip by law. You must make sure the skip is not filled over the top of the sidewalls in order to guarantee its safety during transportation. Under no circumstances will overfilled skips be accepted.

How wide does my driveway should be?
As a general rule, we would request that a driveway's entrance be 9 to 10 feet wide to accommodate a skip truck. The skip might, however, be able to be dropped from the property's entry onto the driveway.
How long can i keep a skip?
Typically, Skip Hire Network will supply your skip for two weeks. There is an additional £10 + VAT fee for each extra week.

Do i need to be home to sigh for my skip?
No, you don't have to be at home for us to transport your skip; just provide the address when you place your order, and we'll do what you want (if at all possible).
What if i need another skip?
Skip exchanges are available (subject to availability). After you've completed using your current skip, give our Skip Hire sales team a call at 0141 846 6755, and they would be happy to help if you need another one.
What should I do if I finish my Skip before the scheduled pick-up date?
Please email us if you are done with your skip before the scheduled skip collection date, and we will set up a time for collection as soon as possible.
Where i can put my skip?
On private property, a skip can be positioned anywhere. You can put a skip anywhere on your private property as long as the driver can get to it when the skip wagon comes back to pick it up. Once a skip has been put, it cannot be moved or rendered inaccessible. When the skip wagon driver arrives at your property, always give him precise directions.

What is prohibited material aka Hazardous Waste?
A list of our hazardous and unaccepted garbage is provided below. Please give us a call to schedule the proper removal if you have any of these, since this will call for a specific license and kind of waste removal service.

Every skip needs to be put in a garden, driveway, or other area of your own land. If this isn't feasible, you'll need to get a skip permission from your local government. This needs to be set up by the hirer and ready before we deliver your skip.

We do provide a wait and load service, yes. The first fifteen minutes of waiting are included in the price, which is the same as renting a skip. After this, waiting will be billed at an hourly rate of £60, with 15-minute blocks. A permit will still be needed if the car will be sitting on public property.

Will the skip cause damage to my drive?
When skips are placed on block paved and soft tarmac driveways, they may sustain damage. Damage may also result from heavy skips, which call for stabilizing devices. Although we will take every precaution to avoid damage, please be advised that you agree to hold us harmless for any damage that happens when we are on your property after we leave the roadway.
